Abe is the designer and manages day-to-day operations of Degnan Design Builders. He earned his Bachelor of Architecture degree at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, School of Architecture and Urban Planning. He has earned his Certified Graduate Remodeler™ (CGR), Certified Graduate Builder (CGB) and Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation through the NAHB.
Abe continues his education through the builders association as well. He was the 2010 President of the Madison Area Builders Association (MABA), and has been re-elected to serve as President again in 2013. In the Wisconsin Builders Association (WBA) he served as a State Director and as the 2009-2010 Chair of the WBA Remodelers Council and as the 2011 Chair of the Local Officers Council.
Abe has volunteered for three years as the Project Manager of the Madison Area Builders Association's Green Built Home Makeover. He is an appointee to the Green Built Home steering committee.

Abe enjoys spending time with his wife Lisa, and children Zachery, Dylan and Cora. They are avid walkers and bikers, and Abe particularly enjoys snow skiing, wave runners, waterskiing and wakeboarding. He volunteers as a 7-8 grade Sunday School teacher at Lord of Love Lutheran Church. Abe served three terms on the DeForest Village Board, serving over the years in Planning & Zoning, the Board of Zoning Appeals, Fire Board, and Finance & Administrative committees. He continues on some of the committees as a citizen member.
